Thinkmeter is a free service that makes it easy to collect and summarize opinions from your friends or colleagues. Thinkmeter can help you decide:
* Where should we eat?
* Which book should our book club read next?
* Which domain name should we register?
* Which date should you next meet?
* Most generally, which option should you choose?
Respondents can rate and comment on the choices that you're considering, or add new options that they think might be a better decision. Thinkmeter summarizes their feedback to make your decision easier.

First of all I think the idea is worthwhile and you have a great domain name that is easy to remember which is good.
I agree with Fawn that you can do some design improvements to make the site more appealing. Maybe hire or partner with UI designer. I suggest using fewer words when explaining things.
I think a killer feature that would improve your site and traffic is Twitter integration! What if I can register my twitter at your site and then include #tm (for Think Meter or similar tag) and then your site will automatically input things in...for instance I tweet "I'm thinking to read Crush It book 5/5 #tm" and then you site will automatically parse and store that for me! issues these days that there are so many website out there and sometimes it's hard to keep going back and forth to websites to store thing..but most people use Twitter and it will be nice to integrate it with so people will visit your site once, register and then add data through Twitter and then after a while when they want to choose something they visit your site back
Firstly, I'd like to say that the website is a very good idea, but I think it still has a ways to go technically. The site is lacking in terms of design, but I'm sure that the final site will be much more attractive. I thought the tour was really helpful, but I still couldn't find out where I was suppose to respond to OTHERS' questions.
I think that linking to amazon or yelp is a great idea because it leads the decision maker/decision helpers to a tangible product instead of just a vague suggestion. However, are there other sites to choose from other than the select you have?
All in all, I WOULD use thinkmeter again. Not for questions like what toothpaste should i buy or use, but for things like "where is a good place in manhattan for a birthday party for 10" etc.. Sometimes, we need a second opinion.
I would recommend thinkmeter to others.
If at all possible, I think think meter should find a way to really personalize the website experience for that user (based on their previous decision). We wouldn't want someone to recommend the "jackass" movie to someone who is 50, female, and is presently reading a book of wordsworth poems.
Fawn, thanks for your feedback.
You are correct, there is not a place to answer others' questions currently. Eventually we want to offer public questions, but for now it is all private.
For now, Thinkmeter only displays extra info with Amazon, Yelp, and image URLs. Do you have others in mind you'd like support for?
I agree that personalization would be good over the long term.
