Hey Launchly users! Love to get some creative design feedback. Navigation feedback. Feedback on the speed of our Heardable Scoring tool. What people think of our Heardable 100 list that showcases the top 100 brands in the world ranked by Heardable Score. The quality of our blog posts. If people think our service is unique. Who do you think our competitors are?
The top "get free score" is good, users will instinctively play with that, (I did). The scoring system is pretty good, it offers a lot of content that webmasters may not have considered or simply forgot to consider. Metrics are always good.
"Heardable measures your brand's effectiveness" - Effectiveness regarding what? I feel your website lacks a clear "How do I benefit" answer/tagline. "Winning is everything" - again, what is Heardable going to help me win? I have gathered that it's something like "brand power". Unless you are trying to attract automakers or Coca Cola I think it's a tough sell to get a small business or upstart to invest in "brand power". But maybe I'm just arguing semantics. A good headline might be "Heardable - We take online branding to the next level". Then drill down on specific ways you help: "Heardable attaches robust analysis tools to help you better understand, measure, and optimize the power of your online brand across the web." Then go into specific tools you have to increase that exposure and track its success. Maybe not the best but most of the prominent copy seems to be vague marketing speak with little actual content. For example I don't get the emphasis on my competitors? I get that it places my business in a certain standing, but does it have to be so integral to the initial pitch? I think drilling down on how you can help ME and what MY SCORE means to ME, is more beneficial than how everyone else is doing (imo).
Also to add: "Get 60% More - FREE!" - More what? This was unclear to me which made me second guess filling out the form.
To answer your questions:
I think the 100 score is interesting to browse but if I was a business considering paying you money to use your tools, I couldn't possibly care less about who was leading what.
Did not read your blog post.
I have never seen another product matching your implementation but there are some similiar sites like http://mightybrand.com which sort of measures/tracks brand mentions throughout the web.
HTH
Loved the scrolling info on hover over the tabs!
Search was almost instant and also attractive. Not obvious at first what the sub-category scores are out of (e.g. %). Not sure why portability was the first on the list: is this THE most important (today). And lots of scrolling to do which is a bit annoying (hot links at the top?) (make view details hidden by default).
Interesting list and seems accurate at first sight: have also heard lots of rave online about e.g. NBA, denverpost (and I'm not even in the States!).
Blog looks slick and is also well written (no drivel).
Cant say that I can think of a service that provides exactly the same service (especially the instant scoring in various domains).
By the way, on Ubuntu firefox the 30 second sign up text inputs extend beyond the box.
Good luck!
