First of all: TeamForger was already launched is now completely new, only the "ideas" section reminds to the old version. It's maybe the same name, but a whole new website.
TeamForger is for people to find people. It's there for the young with the will to found their own projects.
It's simple: once registered, you enter what services you do offer and what you are looking for. Instantly a whole network of users is generated.
Users can group into teams. In teams you can discuss and upload PDFs. There are functions to make it easyer to find help for the team and to find people that might be interested in the team's services.
TeamForger is also a place for ideas. You can post your idea here in public under your name. Ideas can be combined with teams.
You can promote other users, teams and ideas. The higher someone is promoted, the better he'll be found. The more promotions a user has, the more does his promotion count.
In case all the helpful functions about finding other users aren't enough, you can search directly through all data fields of users, teams and ideas.

Shipped in german and english. Sorry, some entries and most of the users are german, but give it a try, I wrote for launchly some entries in english. But because the interface is english, you will see how the site works.
* Is it easy to use?
* Do you quickly get what it is about?
* Is it useful?
* Do you have ideas of features I might add?
* Are there mistakes in my english?
* how does the page look? maybe I will change the design...
* what services should I add for companies (an actually implemented but hidden feature are saved search routines)
First of all, I really love the aim and spirit of this app. Making collective DIY easier is what the Web is all about in my opinion.
Some suggestions:
1) I think the graphic design could be improved to look more professional
2) I think the homepage text could be simplified to focus more on exactly why you make connecting with others easier. I was a bit confused by "In teams you can discuss and upload PDFs" because that doesn't seem to have anything to do with finding a team. It sounds likely project management.
3) I clicked on "whom coud you need" (by the way, it should be "who you might need") but was disappointed to find that there wasn't anyone. (I was looking for django developers). I realize this is the difficulty with sites like this - you need lots of users from the start to make it work.
hey I'm glad you like the site.
Yeah it's reall still a problem that there are too less people on the site. But I now have a marketing advisor in my team and he is actually planning a way to make the site more popular.
Ok I'll fix the errors in my english.
btw you're one of the first who talks about a spirit in the same sentence while talking about my app... that's so great, this is my wish, that the people on this site come together with a certain spirit, that they just help each other, communicate their knowledge, make deals and so on
@ design: we're already working on a better design with a flash intro for explanation
The homepage is very 'text heavy' and it is very hard to take in at a glance what this service is about. If I read it very carefully, then it seems interesting, but it really needs a compelling pitch which stands out on the site.
The lack of colour also prevents me focussing on important concepts.
What I'd suggest is to include a demo page so people can see how it works, as well as to redesign the homepage so that the key messages you have can be seen and understood immediately.
Thank you for your feedback. That's what actually most people say. We are hardly working on a solution.
