Browseology allows you to shop with friends just like you're together at the mall. Chat in real time while browsing and surf products together by watching or taking control.
What could we do to make it clearer how to use Browseology?
The front page has a 'Questions + Answers' link...but when I click on it, the page changes to FAQ. Minor bug.
I guess I'm not sure of the benefits of Browseology? When you say 'Social Shopping' does that mean you are working to get me the best deal? Or are you trying to tell me what other people bought?
Yeah...I guess that's the biggest problem...why should I use this?
Found it useful, at least for women, after watching the video. Although I don't see adult women using this, perhaps only teenage girls because they like to shop with friends and you can't really do that online unless you're sitting together. Not sure if this will be that useful, but who knows.
Didn't really get it prior to watching the video, so I think you should try to make it easier to understand on the landing page, like Brian suggested.
I love the concept and I am already thinking about buying some technological stuff together with my friends.
But the website does not seem to work right now, I have tried it several times but it always says to me that I should wait for a while for Amazon to clear up their traffic.
Anyway, I agree with other feedbacks, you should write additional information on the main page, it's not really clear what the website is about (and the name does not help in this).
My first suggestion for the landing page would be to make the features clearer WITHOUT having to watch the video. The video is great btw but not everyone will want to watch it just to get a grasp on what you are offering. You need to explain to me the what, why, and how right on your landing page (like on the right side there).
Next thing is that the landing page is maybe a bit TOO simple for what is, as far as I can see, a shopping site. Where are the categories to browse? Search is typically only useful if I know what I want so I don't think it's a good idea to only offer search on the main page.
I think the idea of having an expert help you shop for something could be useful but you seem to be downplaying it some or at the least not really emphasizing it. As for your main focus though, collaborative shopping seems like a pretty strange idea and I'm not sure how much traction you'll get.
Good luck with it though!
